Welcome to Genesis!

Welcome to Genesis!

Student Ministries welcomes all incoming 6th graders (2015-2016) to our Genesis program. Genesis is not only for middle schoolers - we want families to be involved in partnering with us to guide students through their middle school years. We will be hosting several transition events this spring and summer so that you can get to know the student ministries team.

Welcome to Genesis 6th Grade Family Picnic

Sunday, May 31, 2015 - 5:00pm - 7:30pm

Incoming 6th graders and their families are invited to share a meal with their middle school youth pastors at each of the campuses. During this event, we will provide information about the weekly Genesis ministry, go over the summer calendar of events and have some fun participating in team building games to kick off the summer!

Student ministries will provide a main dish and beverages.  Please bring a salad, side dish or dessert to share in a disposable container as follows:

  • Last name A - G, please bring a salad
  • Last name H - M, please bring a side dish
  • Last name N - Z, please bring a dessert

There is no cost to attend this event, but you must register to attend the Welcome to Genesis 6th Grade Family Picnic. Registration information will be posted for each campus in May.

Genesis Begins Wednesday, August 19, 2015

Our Wednesday night Genesis program begins at 6:30pm! Each week middle school students gather together for Genesis at each of our four campuses - St. Charles, Blackberry Creek, DeKalb and Bartlett. There is no pre-registration and you can jump into the program at any time. Genesis consists of a social time, weekly interactive teaching, games, worship and small group time.  Students are assigned to a small group their first night in the program.

Parents can click HERE to find out all about Genesis and find the weekly teachings on our Genesis Parents page.  We also have middle school bible reading plan links available on the same page.
