Yvonne has been attending the Blackberry Creek Campus for sixteen years and joined the staff in 2003 to lead the KidsWorld Team. She enjoys helping families and kids feel comfortable and safe in their church experience.
She is the mother of two teenage boys, whom she home schools. They’re both busy boys and she loves being involved with their outside activities. She is grateful for her weekly women’s community group.
Her desire is for kids to fall in love with Jesus and begin a relationship with Him that will last forever.
John or ''Burke'' as he is called around our Blackberry Creek Campus, was born and raised in Ottawa, IL. Before coming on staff full time at Christ Community, Burke spent 25 years in the Computer programming business and most recently, spent several years producing television reality shows. Burke also volunteers in the producing of Blackberry's weekend services. He serves along side his wife, Debbie and youngest 3 sons. Burke loves his men's community group, and enjoys spending time with his grandchildren. Burke and his family currently live in the Oswego area.
Petey joined Creative Arts in July 2015. He graduated from the Moody Bible Institute in May 2015 with a degree in Communications. Petey grew up in South Holland, Illinois, where his passion for worship began. Petey enjoys laughing, playing guitar, and eating numerous slices of deep dish pizza in his spare time.
Jon was born outside of Columbus, Ohio but spent much of his time growing up in central Wisconsin. Since graduating from Cedarville University and before coming to Christ Community, he has been blessed to serve in churches in Grand Rapids and Philadelphia. Jon and his wonderful wife Sarah are the proud parents of four little daughters and one son. His claim to fame is that he had the joy of delivering both his youngest daughter in the car on the way to the hospital, and his son at home!
Deb grew up in Chicago. She and her husband Lee have been married for over 30 years and have 3 married children. They began attending Blackberry Creek Community Church in 1994 where as volunteers, they started the Youth Group. In 2003, Deb came on staff as the Student Ministry Administrator and has continued on staff after Blackberry's adoption in 2006. You can also find her doing Campus Administration, Special Events or Cup O Joy.
Lee was born in the Wicker Park area of Chicago and later moved to the Austin district and then to Oak Park. He attended Morton Jr. College, and Lincoln College. Before coming into full time ministry, Lee worked at Dominick’s Fine Foods in the Meat Division for 29 years. Lee and his wife Deb have three married children. He loves basketball, mountain hiking, and talking about his faith with seekers.
Paul was born and raised in Southern California. He married his college sweetheart, Jill, two weeks after graduation from Biola University. The newlyweds moved to Colorado so Paul could attend Denver Seminary and develop a passion for the Broncos. While in Colorado, Paul and Jill were blessed with two daughters.
The DeHaven family moved to Texas in 1995 and spend 18 years developing a love of BBQ. Paul joined the staff of Christ Community in 2013. He enjoys cooking, running, and saying things like ''howdy'' and ''y'all.''
Born and raised in Dundee, IL, Alicia attended Wheaton College and received a Bachelor of Science degree. She’s married to Karl Hepler and moved to DeKalb, IL in 1989. They have three grown children. Alicia helped with the launch of our DeKalb Campus in 2004 and has enjoyed working with staff and volunteers alike.
Greg was born and raised in Fort Collins, Colorado, where he trusted Christ in a backyard Bible Club and was later influenced by The Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He went on to play football at the University of Northern Colorado while receiving a degree in Kinesiology. A year after being hired as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Kent State University, Greg accepted a position at The Chapel in Akron, Ohio, where he served in several areas of ministry and graduated from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.
Greg is married to Sharron and they have three amazing children.
Luis was born in the Philippines and grew up in uptown Chicago, ''Go Cubs!'' He has a Music degree from Northern Illinois University and committed his life to Jesus at NIU in 1986. He was hired as pianist for Christ Community Church in 1986.
He enjoys hiking and trail scampering, chemistry and astronomy. He loves dark chocolate, Mt. Rainier, German Shepherds, anything purple.
Erin was born and raised in beautiful Seattle, Washington, and moved to Illinois in 1997 after marrying her husband Dave. She still isn't used to the lack of mountains and oceans in Illinois, but is content with where God has her! Erin attended Seattle Pacific University and received a Bachelor of Arts degree. Dave and Erin have been blessed with two sons who love sports (Go Packers)! Erin enjoys sports, being outdoors, and gardening.
Karl grew up in Marshalltown, Iowa. He later moved to the Chicago area where he received a BA from Judson University in Elgin, Illinois, and an MA from Northern Baptist Theological Seminary in Lombard, Illinois. He is married to Alicia and they have lived in DeKalb since 1992.
Their children and their spouses live in the Chicagoland area. Karl enjoys running with Alicia, fixing broken stuff, and reading about science, leadership, and spiritual formation. He is fascinated with how things work, whether mechanically, scientifically, relationally, spiritually, or organizationally.
Joshua grew up in the Quad Cities and moved to DeKalb in 2007 at which point he began attending Christ Community Church and our high school ministry Mosaic. He is currently pursuing a degree in Biblical Studies from Moody Bible Institute and joined the DeKalb campus team in February of 2013. He has the privilege of working with high school and middle school students as they grow in their knowledge and love for the Lord.
In his free time he enjoys playing any sport, spending time with friends and family, and watching 49ers football.
Jen grew up in Streamwood, Illinois. She traveled north for college to The University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she earned her B.A. in Psychology. While she became a huge Badger fan, that love did not spill over to the Packers.
She started attending Christ Community in 1997 and surrendered her life to Christ shortly there after.
She has been married to Tom McGraw since 2001, which was a good year to marry since she can always remember how many years they've been married by subtracting one from the current year! They have three amazing girls who all love the Lord!
Jen loves to read, go on cruises, spend time with friends, and drink good coffee!
Kathy grew up and has lived in northern Illinois most of her life. She attended Wheaton College where she earned degrees in Education and Bible. She met her husband Corey there, and after college they moved to the Fox Valley area. They began attending Christ Community in 1992. Except for a period of time living in Pennsylvania, they and their two children have been actively involved in the life of Christ Community. Kathy has been employed here since 2007.
Sue has been at Christ Community since 1984. She became a permanent fixture around the church when she was hired as support staff for Children's Ministry in July of 1992. You will find her hanging around the finance department nowadays. Fortunate to marry Tom Anderson, Sue has a blended family of 4 who are too old to live at home with mama. Sue guesses you could say "SHE LOVES THIS PLACE."
Before coming on staff at Christ Community, Larry worked in international and domestic logistics/transportation (air, ocean, rail, LTL/FTL, custom brokerage) for 13 years, taught and coached for 4 years at the high school level (English, Bible, football, boys basketball, girls softball). He has a BA in English and Education.
Larry and Gwen have been married for over 40 years and have 5 grown children. He enjoys watching his children and grandchildren grow up, grilling fresh vegetables out of his garden, and sampling every kind of barbecue style in the US. He has completed 5 marathons so far.
Joy grew up in Flint, Michigan, spending summers near Traverse City and Mackinac Island, before moving to this area to attend Judson College, where she met her husband Jay. Joy and Jay began attending Christ Community Church in 2000. Joy joined the staff in 2005 as the Administrative Assistant for Outreach and Marriage, before transitioning to the Front Office and then on to the Events Team
Joy enjoys spending time with her husband of 40 years, their two adult sons and daughter-in-law, and her delightful little grandchildren. She also enjoys meeting new people, helping others discover their passion while connecting and encouraging them to serve, and spending time with friends.

Bryan was born and raised in Southern Illinois. He is married to his beautiful wife, Angie, and they have a blended family of 3 boys and a little princess. Bryan served as an Officer in the Illinois Army National Guard and has been in Law Enforcement since 1995. Bryan's full time job is a police officer in a nearby Village. In his free time he enjoys hiking and camping with his family as well as visiting his relatives who are spread out over the Midwest.
Jeannine was born and raised in Champaign, IL. She is married to her high-school sweetheart Jason and they have two children. They have been attending and serving at Christ Community Church since 2008.
She enjoys scrap booking, playing volleyball with her family, biking and cheering her son on in baseball.
Lorie is originally from Southern California, but spent many years in Boston and really considers herself to be an east coast girl. She has a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology with a focus on women's issues from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. She oversees our Women's Ministry.
In her spare time...well, she has no spare time. Time away from ministry is spent enjoying her husband and three boys.
Dan was born and raised in southwestern Connecticut and is a graduate of Lehigh University with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and Fuller Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity. Before coming to Christ Community Dan was a pastor in Andover, Massachusetts for 7+ years.
Dan and Mandy live in Sugar Grove and have 4 children.
Jack is originally from upstate New York, and is a graduate of Brown University where he received his degree in Economics. Before joining the Christ Community Church staff, Jack spent 31 years in the consumer products industry in various sales and marketing managerial positions.
Jack and Susie have been married for over 30 years and have five wonderful children.
A northern Illinois native and former atheist, Tanya spent several years in Maine and Dallas before returning to Illinois in 2010 as a seeker. There, she attended a Baptism service at Christ Community Church. Over the next year, she experienced Christ's love through Community Groups and wonderful friends who discipled her. In February of 2011, Tanya accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at a WOW Weekend service and God has been moving hugely in her life ever since. Tanya holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Maine at Farmington and a Certification in Residential Interior Décor from the Illinois Institute of Art. She adores cattle dogs with eye patches, sharing God's love through photography and blogging, and throwing fabulous tea parties.
Cory was born and raised in Salem, Oregon. He attended college at North Park University in Chicago, where he received a BA in Biblical Studies and Communication, and holds a Masters of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Cory enjoys good chats over good coffee, reading, and going on dates with his wife Cassia.
I'm a native Texan who moved to Illinois in August of 1995 with my wife Carolyn who works at the DeKalb CCC campus, and our two daughters, Briana and Caitlin. Carolyn is originally from Illinois. We have been attending CCC since 2000. I started my career here August 1, 2011. My past career was in the Food and Beverage Industry working for McDonald's, the Sheraton Hotel, Olive Garden, Boston Market, and Panera Bread.
My interests are: being a handy man and helping others, working on cars and small gas motors, gardening, and giving away fresh produce. I also enjoy hunting deer with a bow and arrow. (Do you have any land I could hunt on?) I started my own fudge business called "Steve E's Fudge Shoppe" making hand-crafted gourmet fudge infused with various forms of liqueurs. I'm also a firm believer in the saying, "one man's junk is another man's treasure." (I recycle, refurbish, or piece-meal items that still can be made of use.)
Peter grew up in a Michigan suburb near Detroit, and has been involved in the church, in one way or another, as long as he can remember. Growing up as a pastor's kid, church was like a second home. After graduating from Evangel University (in Springfield, MO) with a degree in Graphic Design, Peter went back to Michigan and began to build his own freelance business, FLARE Graphic Design. He later moved to Illinois to work at a church as the worship director assistant/graphic designer. While there, he met his now wife Heather, and got married in July of 2012. In September 2012 they received a direct call from God to move on from their church, and in December 2012 Peter accepted the Graphic Design Specialist position at Christ Community.
Being a pastor's kid, Josh grew up in and around the church. He earned his degree in Digital Art and Design from Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida, and after graduating, moved home to Saginaw, Michigan to work at The Dow Chemical Company. A little more than a year later, Josh realized that the corporate world wasn't where his heart was and he decided to pursue his passion for serving the local church, joining Christ Community's staff in 2011.
When he isn't cheering on his University of Michigan football team, Josh enjoys playing the bass guitar, working on new projects, and discovering the wonderful things this world has to offer.
After more than a decade working for media ministries, Todd made the move to the local church. In fact, his own church. Previously, Todd was Associate Online editor of Christianity Today, Managing Editor of Campus Life/Ignite Your Faith teen magazine, and a Christianity Today Movies reviewer. He also served as the General Editor of the NIV Quest Study Bible for Teens (Zondervan, 2011), co-authored The unGuide to Dating (Revell, 2006), and has written for The Chicago Tribune, RottenTomatoes.com, ThinkChristian.net, ChurchJuice.com, and more.

Tammy has a BA in Psychology/Organizational Development from Wright State University in Ohio and an MBA from Jack Welch Management Institute. After spending her early career in healthcare, she responded to the call to serve in ministry. For the past 20 years, Tammy has had the opportunity to lead and serve in multiple roles across churches and para-church organizations.
Tammy and her husband Mike are the parents of three grown children. She loves the outdoors (running, hiking, biking) and can happily spend hours reading recipes and experimenting with new menu items.
Nicole began serving in Creative Arts Ministry-producing weekend services and special events and came on staff in 2014. She is passionate about finding ways to communicate God's Word creatively.
Nicole has a degree in Biblical Studies and is currently studying at Moody Bible Institute for a degree in Ministry Leadership.
Daniel is married to Amy, the love of his life and ever his friend. They met at Pizza Hut while Daniel was completing his B.A. at the Moody Bible Institute here in Chicago. He enjoys fixing both mechanical and electronic gadgets, playing games, and spending time with his wife playing with their two dogs.
Nick joined the Christ Community Church team in October of 2014 as the Lighting & Scenic Director. After graduating from Lincoln Christian University and marrying Christine, Nick filled a variety of church ministry and production roles including traveling internationally as a professional installer and as the production director for the STORY Conference. In his spare time, he enjoys the outdoors, especially running, and being an extra on television shows filmed locally in Chicago.
Executive Leadership & HR
After receiving a B.A. and M.A. in Organizational Communication from Miami University in Ohio, Steve spent the next 15 years in Instructional Design and Organizational Development working for AT&T, Arthur Anderson, and JP Morgan Chase. In 2005 God called Steve out of the marketplace into full time ministry.
In his spare time Steve enjoys home improvement projects, working in the yard, and spending time with his wife Allison and two kids.
Kaye is a transplanted southerner, in case the accent didn’t give her away. She is married to Tim, and is mom to three daughters and one son-in-law. Kaye joined the Christ Community Church staff in 2005 in Caring Ministries, has worked with the Finance Department and transitioned to her current role in 2013.
Katie grew up in Naperville, IL. She received her BA in History from Murray State University in Kentucky, then received a Masters Degree in Non-Profit Administration and Counseling from Springfield College in Massachusetts. She joined the Student Ministries Team in August of 2008 and transitioned to her current role in 2014. Katie and her husband Michael live in Campton Hills and have four daughters.
Clayton grew up in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, in a very large family--with eleven sisters and no brothers. (It's a long story.) He attended Wheaton College for undergrad, and then returned a few years later to get his M.A. in Biblical Exegesis and another M.A. in Historical and Systematic Theology. Before coming to Christ Community, he worked in the Chaplain's Office at Wheaton College for five years, running the small group ministry and chapel services for the grad school. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Michelle, and they have three young children: two girls and a boy. In his free time, he loves sci-fi, superheroes, spicy salsa, and strategy games.
Eric has been on staff since 2000. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Judson University in Elgin, IL and his Masters of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, IL. During his 25-plus years of ministry, Eric has served in churches as a youth pastor, adult ministries pastor, small groups pastor, associate pastor, sports pastor, worship pastor, and men’s pastor.
As much as Eric enjoys ministry, his real joy and first ministry is his family. He is married to Rachel and they have 4 awesome children - Chloe (19), Adam (21), and Luke who is married to Megan. A man of faith - he knew that one day his beloved Cubs would win the World Series and they did! "Next year" finally arrived in 2016 for Cub nation!
Ami grew up in a tiny lake town in northern Michigan, but ventured south to the "big city" of Wheaton, Illinois for college, where she met her husband, John. The two of them have attended Christ Community Church since 2008. Ami loves spending time with family (which, aside from John, includes her adorable little girl, Ellie, and dog, Harley), building and growing relationships, singing, and anything "artsy and craftsy."
Susan is a native of southern Illinois, having grown up in Fairfield, Illinois. Shortly after graduating from Union University with a BSBA in Accounting/Finance, she moved to the Chicago suburbs and has called this area home ever since. After a number of years in Accounting and Finance at Pepsi, Susan had the opportunity to spend a couple of years at home with her children before coming on staff at Christ Community.
Susan and her husband, Dan, have two sons and have been attending Christ Community since 1999. Susan enjoys spending her time with family and friends, watching sports with her boys, hiking, and other outdoor adventures.
I was born in St. Charles. Illinois, and have attended Christ Community Church since grade school. In 7th grade I accepted Jesus as my Savior at Honey Rock Youth Summer Camp. I attended St. Charles High School and Loyola University, where I earned a degree in Accounting and played Division I soccer. My first job was running the local sports facility and coaching youth and high school soccer. After getting married, I transitioned to corporate accounting for the next seven years.
My wife Lauren and I have two children, Ben and Elleanor. We live in downtown St. Charles and enjoy attending the local events. I'm a huge sports fan and love the outdoors. I have a passion for serving the Lord and my community, so working at Christ Community is a great blessing.
Dave is a born and bred Scotsman. After moving to Illinois in 2008, he’s now happily outnumbered at home by his wife, Erin, and three daughters. Dave has been in children’s ministry since the age of 15 and has served in churches and parachurch organizations across Scotland, Europe, and in the United States. Dave joined the KidsWorld team full-time in 2015, and his role includes overseeing EPIC, Camp Commotion, and our ministry to children with special needs. Dave’s interests include reading, writing, binge-watching Netflix, and trying to understand American culture.
Randy feels that to lead or join endeavors that impact young people for Jesus is one of the greatest eternal investments anyone can make. Randy has done that since 1991 joining our staff in 2005.
Randy and his wife Michelle grew up attending church together in Chicago and were married in 1994 and have 4 incredible sons.
Alixx has gone to Christ Community Church for her entire life and considers it home. Growing up, she found a love for singing through musical theater and began leading worship for HOT U, KidsWorld, Genesis, and weekend services as a student. After coming on staff in 2013 part time, Alixx served as the Children's Worship Assistant and Camp Commotion Program Director before becoming the Children's Worship Pastor in 2016. She likes to say that she has the best job ever--leading kids in worship every week! In her spare time, she is a cosmetologist, spends too much time at Michael's, makes amazing yogurt parfaits, and is always singing karaoke in the car. Come find Alixx in the KidsWorld Theater and she'll find a place for you to serve.
A native Californian, Natalie ventured to Illinois way back when for graduate school...and stayed! After many years in magazine publishing and marketing, Natalie followed God’s leading into ministry, where she led volunteer teams and communications at a previous church. Natalie, her, husband, Mike, and their three kids starting attending Christ Community in 2003, where she volunteered in KidsWorld 10 years. Natalie joined the KidsWorld staff in 2013 leading the Saturday Operations team; she now oversees the operations team and provides admin support to the KW team. She enjoys scrapbooking, turning Pintrest pins into reality, and making sugar cookies with her girls.
Jill has served in Children’s Ministry for the past 15 years, both here at Christ Community Church and as a Children’s Leader at Bible Study Fellowship. She is passionate about introducing young children to the truth of the Bible and Jesus!
Jill is married to her best friend Jeff, has a daughter serving in the US Navy and a son who is now with Jesus in Paradise! A couple of their favorite things are travelling together and playing any kind of board game or card game…Euchre anyone?
Denise and her husband James have attended Christ Community Church since 2001. They have five children: four boys and a new addition of a baby girl in 2013. Denise has a passion for Christ Community Church and calls Christ Community her home. In October of 2013 Denise joined KidsWorld ministry staff as the KidsWorld Elementary Group Life Assistant for Saturday night services. Denise has 20 years of leadership experience and has a passion for helping kids know Christ and make Him known.
If your child spits up, drools, is cutting teeth, or cries when you leave them, there is a good chance that you know Kim. She is passionate about young children and their parents, as well as being mom to two grown children of her own.
Kim graduated from Baylor University with a business degree and is proud to be a native, but displaced, Texan. Kim joined the staff in 2005.
Thea has lived in Minnesota, Florida, Texas and Illinois. She has settled in the Midwest and now lives in Elburn, with her husband Pete and their three children. Her major in college was business, but found work in retail and the financial industry, until joining Christ Community. Thea joined the staff in 2005, working in International Impact. She has been on mission trips to Brazil, Czech Republic and New Orleans, and loves seeing what God is doing around the world.
Proudly growing up in Little Rhody (Rhode Island), moving cross-country to Illinois, military training in Oklahoma, teaching in Haiti and back to Illinois, Dave landed in St. Charles in 2009. With a BA in Elementary Education and an MA in Intercultural Studies to boot, he's worn a lot of hats in his travels.
In his free time, Dave cherishes time spent with his wife and son. Beyond that he's usually up for just about anything, but particularly enjoys experiencing cultures, cooking and cool colors. And yes, he's quirky like that. . .
Eric is passionate about reaching the nations for Jesus. In 1994, Eric and his wife Carol traveled to Nigeria on their first short-term mission trip. This experience led to full-time international ministry in 1996.
Eric graduated from Valparaiso University and currently lives in Sycamore, IL. Hunting and fishing are favorite hobbies.
Mike received his Bachelor of Science in Education from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri. Mike completed graduate work at the University of Northern Iowa and Drake University, and earned a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies from Moody Theological Seminary.
He grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Mike is married to Linda and has 4 grown children... along with 5 grandchildren.
Mike enjoys basketball, baseball, football, hunting, fishing, kayaking, bike riding, and being alone in the woods.
Jym Kay grew up in the city of Chicago. Coming to faith at 15, he has been involved in ministry for most of his life. Jym is our missionary on staff living and serving God for 14 years in Asia. Jym has a passion for the lost and a pastors' heart. Right before coming to Christ Community, he planted a multi-ethnic church in the Caribbean community of North Lauderdale Florida. He has been married for 25 years and has a teenage son.
Eric loves to help people meet, know and serve Jesus. After graduating from Moody Bible Institute and Wheaton College, he has been serving in ministry as a: youth pastor; denominational youth leader; church leadership trainer and writer; and campus pastor.
Eric is married for over thirty years to his middle-school sweetheart, Denise. They both love trips to the city, sports and long walks together. They have two adult children.
Eric is humbled and thrilled to be serving Jesus at Christ Community Church with the wonderful staff and volunteer teams.
Ann grew up in Southern California and now lives in St. Charles with her husband and son. She also has an adult son who is a graphic artist in Chicago.
Kristin and her husband, Dan, are native Midwesterners. She's recruited and organized people since she was a kid, so connecting people to Jesus and one another through membership, serving, and our zones strategy is a natural fit.
She enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, world music, and cake with lots of frosting.
Rick and his family have been attending Christ Community Church since 2003. His heart is to teach people how to love their communities and share the love of Jesus Christ in the community. He holds a Masters in theology from Wheaton College.
Rick is married to Tanya and they have a son and daughter. In his free time, he loves doing anything with his family and he has a sickness, a love for running.
Larry and his wife Carol have attended Christ Community since 1987 and have two adult children. Larry is a graduate of Taylor University and spent 26 years working with the ServiceMaster Company in the health care field. In 2003 he came on staff at Christ Community.

Tammi is wife to Kerry and mother to three young adults. You can often find her sitting in the bleachers cheering on one of her children’s softball, basketball, or football teams when she isn’t running plays as the Executive Assistant for Larry Stratton and the Community Impact/Outreach team.
I grew up in West Dundee, Illinois. I received my BA in Education at the University of Iowa. My husband, Steve, our three children, and I, began attending Christ Community Church in 2003. I have enjoyed being involved with women's and student ministries over the years. After many years of serving my family at home, I am looking forward to serving the middle and high school students at the Kyoo. After all, candy has always been my favorite food group! In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading a good book, and gardening.
Eric grew up in the Akron, Ohio, area. Since trusting Jesus as Savior at age 17, Eric has felt called to share the Gospel with young people. Eric studied at the University of Akron for his undergraduate degree, followed by earning a Master of Arts in Religion from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Before coming to Christ Community, he served in full-time student ministry for 10 years.
Eric is married to Adrianne and they have a daughter, Kendall, and a son, Kieran. His hobbies include playing guitar, running, cooking, and agonizing over Cleveland sports teams.
Bobby Jackson has loved serving in Student Ministries at Christ Community since 2011. He has the privilege of helping with middle school, high school, and college student ministry events. He is also responsible for the public school outreach programs. He has had the opportunity to work with thousands of students from local public schools and is excited to see where the program grows next! Bobby and his wife, Elizabeth, live in Elgin with their son, Ezekiel. Many people think Ezekiel is the Hub's official mascot. This rumor is not true-Ezekiel does all his ''work'' on a volunteer basis. The Jackson's happily accept dinner invitations!
Bex grew up in Liverpool, England, before moving across the pond to attend Moody Bible Institute where she received her BA in Biblical Exposition. It was during her time at Moody that she realized her passion for student ministry and her desire to introduce students to Jesus and disciple them as they pursue a relationship with him.
Before coming to Christ Community, Bex lived for three years on the Northshore of Boston where she gained her Masters of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and worked with middle and high school students. Bex enjoys all things British, brunch, kittens, tacos, and coffee, and is excited to be back in the Midwest and serving as the College Pastor of Christ Community Church.
Pete grew up in Batavia and attended Christ Community as a high school student in the early days of the church. It was here that Pete developed a personal relationship with Jesus and began to discover gifts and callings toward full time ministry.
From there, he attended Cedarville College in Ohio where he studied student ministries and adolescent development. He is finishing a masters' degree at Wheaton in 2015.
Pete is married to Jocelyn (whom he met while attending high school ministry at CCC) and they have seven children. They share a passion for kids and strive to see their family and home as a ministry through foster care and adoption.
Andy Doyle is the Bartlett Campus Pastor and he loves providing pastoral care to the congregation, almost as much as he enjoys sharing the Good News of Jesus.
Andy came to Christ in his mid-20s from a non-Christian background in England, and he has a heart for the lost and those hurting in life.
Before coming on staff, Shelby and her husband, Justin, attended Christ Community for about three years. In fact, they'd only been in a Community Group for about a month until they decided to get married. A year and a half later, God provided them with a beautiful little girl, Annabelle. Shelby spends most of her time with family & friends and raising her daughter.

It's no surprise that Cindy is now a Creative Arts Director as she's been involved in music in church for as long as she can remember. She began at Christ Community over 10 years ago leading worship for Kids and Student Ministries. Eventually, she led in the adult services at St. Charles, then took on the the worship leader role at DeKalb, and is now the worship leader at the Streamwood-Bartlett Campus. She has a real heart for missions, Brazil in particular, and loves to do anything that'll make her laugh.
